Downhill/Alpine Skiing

The Kimberley skiing area is owned by the people of Kimberley but is leased to the Resort of the Canadian Rockies who run an efficient and friendly organisation. Resort of the Canadian Rockies are one of North America’s premier ski resort companies, and also manage Lake Louise, Fernie, Nakiska and other well-known Canadian ski resorts.
Kimberley is a medium-sized ski resort providing the full range of skiing services (including equipment rental and ski classes) and catering to visitors of all levels. All skiing is below the tree line providing beautiful runs through the forest in every part of the mountain. The North Star Express high speed quad means barely any waiting in line…ever!

Beginner facilities are excellent with multiple learning slopes and 3 lifts dedicated to beginners.
Full service ski school offers individual and group classes for all levels at prices significantly cheaper than resorts in Western Europe or the US.

Outstanding child programs including classes, on mountain child day care (crèche) staffed by professional caregivers and the Kimberley Kruisers program – a 4 hour child program including classes and lunch…the perfect solution for parents looking for some free time.

The excellent child and ski school facilities and great value for money make Kimberley simply ideal for families and beginners.

For more advanced skiers, Kimberley offers 60 intermediate and advanced runs, as well as a halfpipe and terrain park. Night skiing is available on certain evenings during the season.

The backside of the mountain is great for Easter and has one the top rated mogul runs in Canada. The mountain is expanding all the time and the latest expansion is serviced by the Tamarack Chair and is especially suited to the more advanced skiers.

Kelsey’s restaurant at the main ski base offers a huge menu of quality food at affordable prices.
